Mrs. Bethany Encina, director
Bethany Encina received her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance and Music Education from Chapman University in 2010 and her Master of Arts in Teaching Choral Music from the University of South Carolina in 2012. She is an active member of the Southern California Vocal Association, American Choral Directors' Association and National Association for Teachers of Music. She currently serves as the Vice President in charge of Membership for SCVA.
Mrs. Encina began her teaching career teaching private voice, piano and flute in Rancho Cucamonga and has taught students of all ages in California and South Carolina. She spent two years as the Assistant to the Director of Worship at Saxe Gotha Presbyterian Church, where she directed the Middle School vocal ensemble, Middle C and the adult chamber group, Grace Note.
Mrs. Encina has sung as a soloist and chorister for the Inland Master Chorale, Colla Voce Ensemble and Lexington County Choral Society, and served as the Associate Conductor of the Dutch Fork Choral Society. She is also active in local community theatre musical productions and has sung as choral backup for Josh Groban on five of his recent tour visits to L.A..
